Fidens Brewing “Weka” Review

I was fascinated by the inclusion of Motueka Hop Kief – a new concentrated hop product using cold to extract the lupulin glands from the hop flower (which I surmise is similar to the process used to extract cannabis trichomes, hence the name “kief”).

I can’t attest to what difference this makes, as I haven’t tried previous batches, but this one is drinking great – bursting with bright flavors of lime and sweet tropical fruit. I’m excited to see how brewers will continue to harness the potential of this and other new hop products/varieties – innovation abounds!
