whiprsnapr brewing co Far niente review by bos beer blog

🗣 Far Niente (Italian for “doing nothing”) is Whiprsnapr’s modern twist on a classic French Saison. Not only did they use yeast from @escarpmentlabs , pilsner malt from @m3malts , and Saaz hops, they also dry-hopped the base with Amarillo and Citra!

I love a spicy a peppery Saison, and Whiprsnapr – in their typical style – kick it up a notch with additional hoppy and fruity notes that blend well but also add something extra!

Its spiciness transitions to hoppiness in the finish, which might not work for everyone, but it’s very interesting, unique, and grows on me with each sip.

🖍 Very cloudy golden colour under a very large, frothy and pillowy head that evaporates very slowly, leaving some lace.
👃 Spicy, citrusy and slightly fruity coriander aroma.
👄 Lightly carbonated and creamy full body. [20 IBU]
👅 Spicy, citrusy, peppery, lightly fruity and malty lemon flavour with a hint of coriander.
🏁 Tart, floral and hoppy lemon pepper aftertaste.
