A departure from my usual hop-forward indulgences, but now that the last of the warm weather has abated here in the northeast, I couldn’t think of a better beer to herald autumn than a classic German-style märzen.

Spot on for the style, replete with aromas and flavors of toasted bread, moderate bitterness throughout, and yes – plenty of maltiness. This style will always hold a special place in my heart. Prost! 🍻🍁
