This @highlandparkofficial was bottled exclusively for @barrel_and_batch and wowee did @dramnicedrop pick an absolute belter!
Judging purely on taste, this would be the best whisky of the year for me. An absolute powerhouse of flavour, beautifully blending juicy dark fruits with complex spices and aromatic peat.
Limited to 319 bottles and bottled at a whopping 65.2% ABV at just under 13 years old, this behemoth of a whisky is sure to give you a night you won’t soon forget.
Nose: Rich plums, charred oak, clove and raisins mingle with intoxicating peat, a notable damp woodiness and tobacco.
Palate: Thiccccc and rich. It’s unbelievable how well this drinks at such a powerful ABV. Spice lead with cinnamon, clove, pepper and nutmeg backed by goji berries, oak and campfire smoke.
Finish: Stupidly long and satisfying, you can chew on each sip for ten minutes at a time if you so pleased. The spice, sticky fruits and smoky oak linger all the way through, joined by dark chocolate and roasted hazelnuts.
Unfortunately i believe these are all sold out now, but Ray might have a couple tucked away as backup.. never hurts to ask if you haven’t got yourself one and these notes sound like it’s a whisky for you!
